Spiced Red Wine

This makes me want to curl up by the fireplace on a snowy day. This drink is warm on every level and will make your kitchen smell amazing. A perfect drink to enjoy while still staying Keto-Green!

INGREDIENTS

  • Dry Wine 
  • 1-2 slices of orange
  • 1-2 slices of lemon
  • Few cranberries
  • 1-2 Cinnamon Sticks
  • Ground nutmeg

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Choose a nice, dry wine that’s not too sweet.
  2. Pour it into a pot and let it simmer on very low heat.
  3. As it simmers, add 1-2 slices of oranges with the rind.
  4. Add more orange rind if you wish. I also like to add some slices of lemon.
  5. If you like, add a few crushed cranberries to enjoy its antioxidants.
  6. Add 1-2 cinnamon sticks and ground nutmeg.
  7. Turn off heat and cover.
  8. Serve in a wine glass when cool with some added cranberries for decoration.
