Last week I took our crew and friends to a local organic blueberry farm, Harrietts Bluff Farm in Woodbine, GA. Truth is, we grow lots of blueberries in Georgia, more so than peaches! In fact, organic peach groves just aren’t to be found unless you have your own tree.
We had an incredible experience with all the kids (and adults) really getting into the picking. This gave me the opportunity to teach them a bit about organic farming, and the kids listened (I think) plopping blueberry after blueberry into their mouths right off the bushes! Yum!
Since there’s an honor system at the farm, the kids weighed their pickings and calculated the cost (I added a lb. due to the ‘eating while picking’ phenomenon). We left a check and off we went. With all that we had picked, we continued to enjoy our blueberries every day. We made blueberry scones, fresh blueberry peach dessert, blueberry salads and more.

So enjoy the rest of your summer fun, & share with me your favorite summer activity too!
Did you know that among Mighty Maca’s 42 ingredients, you’ll find blueberry extract, resveratrol, and quercitin? Makes me happy.
