Did 2022 turn out as you expected? I know for me, it certainly has been filled with surprises, and blessings, and challenges.
This year, in 2022, I officially became postmenopausal. I am counting that as a blessing! And so many more things—I became a grandmother this year to an amazing baby. It’s my daughter's story to tell one day, but amongst the hardship and the trauma around that, the blessing that Andalysa (my grandbaby) has been in our lives is just amazing. And, for me as a mother, to see my daughter being the most amazing mother that I've ever really witnessed has just been an added bonus. Oh my gosh, it's been amazing!
I live in a three generation household. As the matriarch of my house with two of my daughters and my granddaughter, I feel better than I have in decades.
And I want the same for you. I think it's time.
No matter what, we face challenges. There are hardships and hard things we do on a daily basis that will shape us, and these hard things can surprise us. The blessings that they bring can absolutely surprise us. So, when we look to the daily disciplines that we have to do to make sure we're healthier tomorrow, the food we have to cook, the movement activities we have to make, the people we have to talk to, all of the things that may seem hard in the small, have the benefits in the big. I wanted to share that with you this holiday season.
I wish you the happiest holidays. Merry Christmas and a happy New Year from me and my family, and all of my team at The Girlfriend Doctor, to yours. God bless you, and see you next year.
