The Emotional Freedom Technique, or EFT, is a psychological acupressure technique that is highly recommended to optimize your emotional health. Although it is still often overlooked, emotional health is absolutely essential to your physical health and healing. No matter how devoted you are to the proper diet and lifestyle, you will not achieve your body’s ideal healing and preventative powers if emotional barriers stand in your way.
EFT is very easy to learn, and will help you:
- Remove Negative Emotions
- Reduce Food Cravings
- Reduce or Eliminate Pain
- Implement Positive Goals
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is a powerful healing technique which has been shown to be capable of relieving not only the pain from psychological issues but also physical pain. The main theory behind this practice is that:
“The cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body’s energy system”.
Monica Grey M.S.W, L.C.S.W graduated with a Master’s degree in 1993 from Florida State University, and was licensed in the state of Florida as a clinical social worker in 1996. As a healer and an intuitive therapist, she has worked for many years in the United States and the Canadian mental health systems gaining insight and understanding into the treatment of depression, anxiety, phobias, trauma and substance dependence.
Monica became interested in Holistic medicine early in her career and has studied and practiced alternative methods to promote healing. She is an avid practitioner of Energy Psychology to address psychological issues, a Licensed Massage Therapist, a Reiki Master Teacher and a Certified Inspirational Breathwork Facilitator. She conducts workshops and educates providers on the use of energy healing techniques for self-care and for assisting others in the process of transformation from dis-ease to health.
Monica has studied and used the Emotional Freedom Technique for the past 12 years to address issues ranging from substance abuse and trauma to depression and recurring thoughts. She has also utilized the technique in working with couples and has found it effective in assisting her clients to reduce the impact of strong negative emotions, bringing increased rationality to often highly charged dynamics. When the emotional energy is reduced, the results are the ability to think clearly about issues and more realistic interpretation can be achieved. She uses the Emotional Freedom Technique along with a mind/body approach to get results where often other methods have been ineffective.
