How do I use the cream for irregular periods? (or when in Perimenopause)?
When we are in Perimenopause and still having our periods but they are irregular, it can be difficult to time the use of progesterone.
Here are the directions for use if you have irregular periods:
If your periods are irregular during Perimenopause, start the Balance cream 10 to 12 days after the first day of the last menstrual period and continue for two weeks or until your period begins, whichever feels better. Sometimes your period may not start back up and so you can just simply take a break for a week to 10 days, and then start again.
This is our general guidance in using the product, Balance. If you are concerned with irregular periods, then you should talk to your practitioner to rule out any underlying conditions.
Why do we take a 5 day break a month or 1 day a week break from Balance cream?
If you are menopausal /postmenopausal and you're not having your period any longer, we recommend not using for one or two days per week or three to five days per month to take a break. The reason for this is so that we can avoid suppressing our body's own natural production of progesterone in this way. We want to support progesterone and optimize it, but not suppress it.

Yes, it's safe to use it. Many women who have had their ovaries removed feel significantly better by adding Balance cream.
The cream can be helpful with early menopause hormonal changes that are probable with a partial hysterectomy. Progesterone is very important for women who no longer have a uterus. This is often overlooked by conventional medical practitioners. Many women are told since they don’t have a uterus they no longer need progesterone. Not true: our brains, our bones, our fascia all need progesterone. Without it, we suffer from unnecessary aches, pains, brain fog, osteoporosis, and more.

Balance contains natural (NOT synthetic) Progesterone and Pregnenolone.
Natural progesterone is identical to the progesterone that is produced by the body. It is manufactured in scientific laboratories from wild yams (Non- GMO).
Will it help with hot flashes? If yes, how?
Balance cream contains Progesterone and Pregnenolone along with Tripeptides that can help support your body's natural anti-inflammatory system.
Progesterone also converts downstream to DHEA and Estrogen which also can be beneficial to helping hot flashes. It is the precursor mother hormone, and it does this without increasing serum progesterone levels. The overall benefit of this Body and Mind cream is that it helps with stress reduction, supports a good night's sleep and helps hot flashes.
What are the common side effects?
Adverse side effects are rare. Slight alter in the timing of the menstrual cycle, occasional break-through bleeding if used inappropriately
Why do some women get breakthrough bleeding while on Balance?
Sometimes breakthrough bleeding is part of the uterine lining rebalancing itself. Sometimes it's caused by the fact that we are addressing estrogen dominance and working to balance hormones. Often when starting any hormone cream, it can take two to three months to regulate.
Alternatively, sometimes it could be a stimulation of a uterine polyp and any irregular bleeding should be evaluated with a pelvic ultrasound/ vaginal ultrasound to ensure that there is not something within the endometrium lining of the uterus that is pathologic.
Please always consult with your doctor if you have any breakthrough or post menopausal bleeding and other concerns.
Can pregnant or breastfeeding women use it?
We do not recommend it for pregnant and breastfeeding women. We recommend it to those who are trying to conceive. When adding any new products or supplements to your routine during pregnancy, we recommend first checking with your practitioner so that they can guide you on what is best for you based on your history and your body’s requirements.
With that said, if you are postpartum experiencing depression or postpartum blues, consult with your doctor to see if progesterone and pregnenolone may benefit you. There have been benefits shown.
