Hormones & Health: What Many Women Don’t Know

Mood swings. Hot flashes. Weight gain. These are just some of the most well-known and dreaded side effects of menopause. Unfortunately, most women think these symptoms are a “part of life” and “come with the territory,” when the truth is that women don’t need to suffer because of a hormone imbalance.

What’s even more startling is that, according to new research,forty-three percent of women say hormones have negatively affected their overall well-being. The same survey found that, of 2,000 American women aged 30 to 60, nearly half have experienced the symptoms of a hormonal imbalance. Of this same group, a vast majority only later understood the cause of their symptoms. Those numbers are devastating!

Even worse, women suffering from an imbalance reported most-commonly seeking remedy by visiting their doctor or taking vitamins and supplements. And just 35 percent of these same women stated they understood their diet could play a pivotal role in many of their hormone-related symptoms. The hardest statistic for me to hear was this one: 57 percent of women fear they won’t be able to take care of themselves as they age. Absolutely gut-wrenching! Can you believe it?

Below is an infographic with some equally staggering statistics for you to chew on.

Clearly, there is more work to be done! If you’ve been following along on my blog, you know that I’ve devoted my life’s work to educating and empowering women to take back their bodies through the use of simple techniques.

With the right diet and lifestyle changes, we have the power to alleviate our hormonally-induced symptoms and truly live life again.

I know this to be true, because I’ve done it myself. At age 38, I reversed my own early onset, tragedy-induced menopause by pairing my medical knowledge with the right combination of diet and lifestyle changes. Then, after balancing my hormones and regaining control of my body, mind and soul, I conceived a child naturally at age 41, against all odds!

Keto-Green Lifestyle

Years later, when I began to experience menopausal symptoms at the expected age, I improved upon the techniques I had previously used and created what is now known as my Keto-Green™ approach. Unlike the conventional Ketogenic diet, Keto-Green™ incorporates alkaline low carb foods, like green vegetables, and intermittent fasting to prevent the body from becoming acidic, lowering long-term risk for inflammation and disease.

I share the details of my Keto-Green™ way, along with my personal wellness journey in my new book, The Hormone Fix. In addition to helpful diet planning worksheets and recipes, I’ve also laid out my best advice, encouragement and guidance to help women tap into unimagined energy sources, enhance intimacy levels, and completely revitalize their lives. And, so far, I’ve been receiving amazing feedback from women who are struggling with their health who have been able to reduce their symptoms by following The Hormone Fix program.

If you’re in the dark about the role your hormones play in your overall health and you want to get back to feeling like yourself again, I encourage you to order a copy of The Hormone Fix today.
