6 capsules a day are optimal, but it could take some days getting used to them if you are new to Mighty Maca® Menopause Capsules. Start out at 3 and increase from there.
What time of day should I take it?
Everyone is different so listen to your body and see how you do with it. Start with taking it at the same time in the morning or mid afternoon. It is energizing but not a stimulant. Dr. Anna has even had some clients that like it in the evening and because it is an adaptogen, it does not interrupt sleep for those that do not suffer with high cortisol at nighttime.

The product is certified gluten-free. Our barley grass and our beta-glucan are all pre-germination. Are Mighty Maca® Menopause Capsules tested for heavy metals?

Do Mighty Maca® Menopause Capsules break your fast?
The answer about breaking your fast is this: It depends on what you are trying to achieve. There are so many types of fasts. With Keto-Green, we are trying to get our body into Ketosis and be a fat burner; but most importantly become alkaline! Dr Anna includes 3 levels of fasting in her book, Keto-Green 16. Many experienced fasters come to this program and test acidic when they break their fast. Our goal is to get our bodies alkaline, reduce inflammation and feel balanced. Dr. Anna teaches us that when we start a Keto-Green lifestyle, the most important part to focus on is getting alkaline first! That is why taking Mighty Maca® Menopause Capsules is okay to take first thing in the morning, while you are still fasting. However, if you are consistently alkaline and achieve ketosis, then of course you can opt not to take Mighty Maca® Menopause Capsules when you break your fast and see how you do.
I just started Mighty Maca® Menopause Capsules and feel a lot of detoxification/stomach issues/bloating. What should I do?
The most common "intolerance" to this product is detoxification (this is what makes Mighty Maca® Menopause Capsules so good!) which happens quite quickly when you begin using Mighty Maca® Menopause Capsules. This can cause things like headaches, gas and bloating, digestive issues, and just generally feeling bad. If these are your symptoms, just know that detoxification is a GOOD thing, even though it may be uncomfortable during the process. The symptoms usually pass within a few days to a week and a good electrolyte supplement, like LMNT powder or Tri-Salts (both of which Dr. Anna recommends), can help a lot. If you have a very sensitive digestive system, to begin with, adding this product may exasperate it temporarily. Dr. Anna's Mighty Maca® Menopause Capsules are generally well tolerated by most women and contains a number of other helpful ingredients that help with energy, hormone balance, and increased nutrition. Some people may need to reduce their optimal serving of Mighty Maca® Menopause Capsules to half and then gradually increase it over time so your body slowly goes through the detox and becomes accustomed to the rich fiber and green healthy gut nutrients. Does maca increase estrogen?
Maca is not estrogenic; it is an adaptogen and helps balance estrogen levels.
Can you take Mighty Maca® Menopause Capsules if you currently have or have previously had breast cancer?
There are no contraindicating ingredients in Mighty Maca® Menopause Capsules, however, Dr. Anna always recommends women discuss any new prescription or over-the-counter product with their primary care doctor. Do Mighty Maca® Menopause Capsules pose an issue for someone with histamine or oxalate dietary concerns?
Yes, Mighty Maca® Menopause Capsules may be an issue for someone with oxalate or histamine issues. Oxalates are a naturally-occurring compound in plants and are of course in many green leafy vegetables. These are all good sources of alkaline foods. Many of the ingredients in Mighty Maca® Menopause Capsules do include vegetables, phytonutrients, and greens, there is, of course, the probability that it does include some oxalates. High histamine foods are in such commonly found foods like avocado, or fermented foods and spinach- which is in Mighty Maca® Menopause Capsules. If you react to high histamine foods, you may react to Mighty Maca® Menopause Capsules.
