Simple ways to reconnect with your joy and purpose
There comes a time in every woman’s life when she feels the tug of something deeper. It might come after a loss, a health scare, or just a sense that the life she’s living no longer fits.
For me, that moment came wrapped in heartbreak. And it became the catalyst for my second spring.
"I lost my child. My heart was shattered. But in that grief, something sacred stirred. A new version of me began to rise."

When my son passed away, everything I knew fell apart. I was a physician, a mother, a healer — but in that season, I felt lost and broken. The grief was all-consuming.
But it was also clarifying. It stripped away everything that wasn’t essential. In that dark night of the soul, I heard a whisper: Reclaim your joy. Reclaim your body. Reclaim your purpose.
So I began to heal. Not just physically, but spiritually and emotionally.

In Eastern traditions, menopause is known as a woman’s second spring. It’s not a decline. It’s a rebirth.
When our reproductive years wind down, our wisdom years awaken. But in Western culture, we’re taught to fear aging, to numb symptoms, to disappear.
Instead, what if we listened? What if we honored the fire inside?
Midlife invites us to:
Reconnect with our bodies
Reevaluate our priorities
Reclaim lost passions
Release perfectionism
Restore joy

Healing wasn’t linear. It came in waves. But slowly, I started to:
Shift my nutrition to support hormonal balance (hello, Keto-Green®!)
Use mindset tools like gratitude, journaling, and breathwork
Spend time in nature and practice forgiveness
Build community with other women walking the same path
And most importantly, I reconnected with my mission: to help other women thrive through their second spring.
"Gratitude literally rewired my brain. It didn’t erase the grief, but it gave me a lifeline back to hope." — Dr. Anna
