As I write this note on New Year’s Day I am sitting here wrapped up in blankets…curled up by the fire in front of my family’s Christmas tree.
It is quiet here now. The laughter and chaos from having all my girls and family members together is now simply another treasured memory. The peacefulness of the scene was so beckoning that I moved from my office to finish my daily journaling, trying to capture how truly grateful I am to be surrounded by such love in my life and have so many blessings.
I hope you had a wonderful holiday with your loved ones as well.
Looking Ahead Towards the New Year…
Now, as we look forward to what the New Year will bring…we may be pondering how we can do better…or be better…or feel better…
I know I reflect on these types of questions about this time each year.
It is a time of self-assessment for me.
What did I do well? How did my efforts in my business and in my community make me proud this year? As a family member or friend, what did I do that had a significant impact? How am I ensuring my (and my family’s) well-being… and am I PRIORITIZING my health in order to age as gracefully – and happily – as possible?
And as I reflect on the topic of my well-being… I immediately realize the need to get back into balance!
Yikes…I went off of my Keto-Green Diet pretty much the entire month of December, fell prey to holiday extravagances (well… isn’t that what holidays are for?), and did not get the sleep I know that I need (watching re-runs of holiday classics – late at night with family – is the best… but so hard on your circadian rhythm and energy level!). You know that feeling when you get up in the morning and feel like it must be bedtime because you are so tired already?
Yes, it is a post-holiday phenomenon for many of us (most of us?)… As we enter the new year we may have allowed ourselves to fall off our usual healthier habits.
Does This Sound Like Where You are At? (these are real quotes from real women like you!)
“I didn’t have energy, I felt sad and honestly didn’t really like myself, nor could I sleep well without sleep aids. Yes, I craved beer and tacos too!”
I had “adrenal fatigue, Hashimoto’s and honestly had lost some of my legendary enthusiasm.”
“I was too tired to do anything and just not inspired to, including being intimate with my husband.”
“As I moved into my 50s I struggled with menopause weight gain of 12 pounds that I just couldn’t lose.”
The good news? Today is the perfect time to re-engage.
To refocus on how great you felt when you just made the commitment to live in a healthy state. Remember those days, back when you didn’t have those pains and aches. When your body shape didn’t make you cringe. When your hormones were in balance and you were in tune with your body’s rhythms… perfectly?
Maybe that “Old You” existed right before the holidays. Maybe you haven’t seen the “Old You” for years. Whichever the case, you can do something about it.
3 Steps to Getting Back to the Best “Old You” Possible!
There are 3 things you can do make an immediate difference in your life as you begin the new year.
First, commit to making one small change each week to be healthier. Eat more veggies. Reduce your sugar intake. Remove a toxic chemical from your kitchen. All of these tiny things add up.
Second. Focus on more positivity in your life. The easiest thing you can do is to keep a gratitude journal. It can make an amazing difference in your day, your outlook, your relationships and your health.
Third, measure where you are at healthwise. I always say, “what gets measured gets managed”. Whether it is discussing lab results with your doctor (everyone should understand all of those blood test results! Being told “you’re normal” isn’t understanding!), or tracking your weight…you can really only understand where you are at when you take the time to assess where you are at…and then measure progress as you make your course corrections along the way.
A Program of Self-Discovery May Help You Solidify Your Commitment
So many women struggle, and try different quick fixes.
That’s what most New Year Resolutions are about… quick fixes to obtain a singular goal (i.e. lose 10 pounds).
And quick fixes don’t work for most people. They don’t involve changing habits. They don’t involve sustainable changes. And they unfortunately often involve unhealthy short-term tactics…
A more comprehensive approach might be what is needed.

Here are just a few of the women who – like YOU – needed to get Back Into Balance. And they did so via my Magic Menopause Program.
“I have tried multiple programs to shift lifestyle habits and balance hormones so I can age gracefully and with a sense of wellbeing, and Magic Menopause was the first program that put everything together where others have failed. It’s phenomenal — from the resources and information, to the direct access to Dr. Anna, to the community support. The value of this program is truly priceless and I highly recommend it!” – Heather Kropf
Sylvie Anne Moore said, “I began the course because of adrenal fatigue, Hashimoto’s and honestly had lost some of my legendary enthusiasm. Weight wasn’t the issue, but my body shape has changed for the better!! I think being alkaline helped the stiff finger complications after a recent wrist fracture, and has helped my thyroid as well. I am energetic and enthusiastic again. Dr. Anna gave me a way of life to be healthier. I may be 69 but there’s a lot more life to be lived and I’m starting flight lessons! This program, well, it is like magic :-)!”
“When I signed up for the program I really was struggling. I didn’t have energy, I felt sad and honestly didn’t really like myself, nor could I sleep well without sleep aids. Yes, I craved beer and tacos too! With Dr. Anna’s help and the Magic Menopause program and systems, my hot flashes, brain fog, energy and mood have all improved and I lost 10 lbs, 2 ” from my waist and 3″ off my hips! My MSQ (symptom score) improved from 42 to 17! I don’t need sleep aids anymore and it was well worth every penny I spent. I have discovered so much about myself. Additionally, I feel a heightened awareness to connect more spiritually. I enthusiastically recommend this program to any woman!” – Debbie Hazard
“As I moved into my 50s I struggled with menopause weight gain of 12 pounds that I just couldn’t lose! Magic Menopause kept me invigorated, energized and released 10 of these troublesome pounds effortlessly. I highly recommend this program as a solution for achieving energy, hormonal balance and weight loss. Do this now regardless of how busy you are!” – Debby Temmer, MA LPC
