Christmas is just around the corner! It’s usually a busy time of year, but this season has been an even more hectic period for me with my recent travels across the sea. I wanted to check in with you about how your preparations for the holidays are going.
Do you have a long checklist of Christmas to-dos that you’re plowing through—from preparing the menu, buying and wrapping the gifts, cleaning the house, getting the decorations ready, and so much more?
It’s easy to lose yourself in such a long list of to-dos, isn’t it? And yet, it’s so important to take care of yourself too, even in the midst of the season’s rush!
That’s why I wanted to share with you my secret to staying present and peaceful this season, while still accomplishing all the many “to-do’s” on my list. I have also pulled together some of my favorite hormone balancing gifts in this quick guide, Dr. Anna’s 2019 Holiday Gift Guide.
A Magical Season To Love Your Life
I believe the real magic of Christmas isn’t about recreating the picture-perfect “Christmas postcard.” This magical season should be more meaningful than just serving up perfect dishes surrounded by perfect decorations. To me, this is the season to celebrate everything magical in your life!
So, let this season be a tradition to celebrate how much you love your life.
That’s why every year, I create a “Love My Life Through the Holidays” checklist. This checklist centers around what is most meaningful to me for celebrating the most magical things in my life. By basing holiday planning around this checklist, it fuels me to enjoy the preparations no matter how busy things get.
Here’s a glimpse into what my checklist looks like this year:
1. Prioritize my daughters in my calendar
Nothing is more magical than my four beautiful daughters. While I have a lot of things to do, I make sure my four daughters come first! Leading up to Christmas, my daughters’ events and responsibilities are my top priority, and everything else will get organized around them.
This also includes preparing Christmas gifts for my daughters’ teachers. It brings me lots of joy putting together thoughtful gifts of appreciation for the people who play an important role in guiding and shaping my daughters’ education. For their gifts this year, I’m going to include some Mighty Maca® Plus stick packs for a boost of health. (Hmmm, should I add in Julva® for the females?)
2. A Keto-Green® Christmas
Yes, I’m dreaming of a Keto-Green® Christmas! Health is so important to me year-round, but it’s really important for me to nail down a menu and grocery list for a healthy, scrumptious Keto-Green™ Christmas.
This includes a Roast, Brussel sprouts, salad fixings, cauliflower for my delicious cauliflower mash, bacon-wrapped dates and then feasting with whatever Amira makes for desserts. Oh and yes, the fixings for my spiced red wine and keto cocktails and mocktails. Check out my favorite recipes for them below!
3. Devotional Quiet Time
This is very important. I will start Christmas day with an allocated quiet time with my devotional in the early morning before anyone else gets up (after I’ve moved the elves of course, because for some reason, mine don’t move on their own). After this quiet time, I allow myself to enjoy a cup of Mighty Maca® Plus hot tea. This is essential for me to have a great day!
4. Evening Bath
Finally, I will close the day with a pampering evening bath with my favorite essential oils, lavender and bergamot.
Check, Check, Check — I Love My Life!
By putting together a checklist centered around what makes my life magical, every time I check something off the list, I am reminded of how much I am loving my life!
I’d love to hear what’s on your checklist, so please do share in the comments below!
Have a blessed holiday season, enjoying the most important people in your life.
