Knowing that what I do makes a difference in the lives of women who want to reclaim their health, really drives me each and every day. I do it because it is my mission and passion to do so. And I get so much satisfaction knowing that you are feeling better, more grounded and able to live the life you want to live.
So when I was awarded the Impact Award for Innovator of the Year at this year’s Mindshare Summit in San Diego, California, I can honestly say, it came as a complete surprise.[ Me and Kevin Gianni ]
But first, let’s start at the beginning…
The Mindshare Summit has always been one of my favorite events. Founded by JJ Virgin, a friend and fellow wellness entrepreneur and author, JJ and I have known each other since 1996!
At this year’s summit, I was impressed by so many wonderful, informative speakers! I was especially impressed by Debi Silber’s talk on post-betrayal and recovery, which was so insightful.
We had a town hall meeting on goals to effect policy supporting organic, natural foods, and non-GMO intrusions, especially in our school lunch health and more, with Mark Hyman, MD and Congressman Tim Ryan. My writing and work reflect my views on GMO, so rallying to do something about this issue — especially with a congressman present — was really productive.
All in all, this year’s Mindshare Summit helped me to recommit to the integrity of my message, to keep up with the science, innovation, and future for not just me but for all health practitioners and promoters.
Which is why receiving an award that is voted on by the Mindshare community for being the most innovative individual (product/blog/etc), is such an honor.
I have been part of this organization since the beginning and have seen the huge growth, development, and influence it (and I) have gone through since its inception. I am proud to be a part of a community filled with such amazing people.
And of course, none of this would have been possible without your participation. So dear you, I’d like to thank you!
Here’s hoping for many more years of wellness and joy. Thank you for being a part of my community.
