Today I am talking to a client of mine who I have worked with on and off for a number of years.
Her name is Rachel Moore, and she is a healthy vibrant 61 year old woman. She’s also a successful business leader in the manufacturing arena, typically more of a man’s world, and has had to face numerous obstacles along the way.
One thing she wanted to do several years ago was to take control of her health. She didn’t want to age before her time.
So she did some bootcamps with me and we worked on her diet, started her on adrenal support using Mighty Maca® Plus, did some detox and also did a variety of lab testing, including genomic testing. She was already feeling better from those changes, much more energetic, when she saw my Magic Menopause program initially launch.
She signed up for it immediately….
“The thing that really has been the difference with me was the Keto-Alkaline® Diet. That really is the thing that … I just have to say that pretty much just saved me…now I just love cooking for myself. I love cooking fresh foods. I love vegetables, and you can eat all kinds of different vegetables and I just feel so much better. And when I fall off the wagon every once in a while, it doesn’t take but that long for me just to start feeling bad.”
I asked her for one of the jewels – beyond diet – she learned in the program, regarding how to best age healthfully.
Rachel said one of the biggest positive impacts on her health and how she feels has been in getting better sleep!
The importance of a good night’s sleep!
She now preaches about the many sleep tips she learned.
And she also now spreads the message – to all of her family and friends – how important restorative sleep is to one’s health.
Like many women in my Magic Menopause program Rachel found that just like she hadn’t understood the impact of light, circadian rhythm and her hormones on getting a deep restorative sleep, her friends and family were not aware either.
Rachel hadn’t had a regular primary care physician for most of her life, but recently found one.
She had a full checkup and blood panel done. The results were great, and the doctor – as part of the workup – asked her, “what prescription drugs she was on”… and she proudly could say, “I don’t take anything.”
The doctor was amazed. A 61 year old woman who wasn’t on any prescription medications, not something she saw very often!
We know from research that the average 50 year old is on three prescription medications!
Rachel says she is a lifelong learner. I think that is so great! We all need to be like that.
And she is also open to other preventative strategies.
So I talked to her about Julva®, my restorative feminine cream for the vulva, and the importance of keeping the pelvic muscle in good shape, and the vaginal tissue healthy. Important as we age…so that we don’t have to deal with the vaginal dryness, discomfort…and maybe even incontinence issues (that leaking when we cough or laugh!). No-one wants to live like that. And these issues are an indicator that things are deteriorating, so we do want to be proactive and preventive in addressing them.
How much better can I be?
She is going to try Julva (of course!). It’s part of her mentality.
To take ownership of her body and keep up with whatever protective strategies she can use to keep aging gracefully.
“That’s what I try to do every day. Absolutely,” says Rachel.
And I can’t wait to hear how Rachel likes Julva!
I also suggested she take my Eve Quiz. Have YOU taken the quiz? In just 2 minutes or less you can find out the state of your pelvic and sexual health!
